ORGANIZE4CHANGE ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY & COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Rules designed to keep nonprofit-led participation, community communications and Platform activity lawful, respectful and safe.

1. Purpose and scope

1.1 This Policy applies to every person and entity that accesses or uses the Organize4Change Platform, including Participants, Organization Users, Nonprofit Providers, Support Organizations, invitees and anyone acting through their Accounts or authority.

1.2 It applies to public Participant profiles, the global public timeline, Activity listings, private messages, group discussions, comments, reviews, images, audio, video, files, invitations, registrations, links, reports and all other Content or conduct connected with the Platform.

1.3 The examples below are not exhaustive. We may restrict comparable conduct that creates a material legal, privacy, security, safety, integrity or community risk.

1.4 This Policy forms part of the Terms of Service. Organization and Nonprofit Provider users must also follow the Organization and Nonprofit Provider Terms.

2. Community principles

2.1 Treat people with dignity, patience and respect. Communicate in a way that supports informed, voluntary participation rather than pressure, shame, fear or manipulation.

2.2 Respect autonomy. A Participant may decline an invitation, leave a discussion, stop an Activity or request reasonable support without being threatened, punished or publicly embarrassed.

2.3 Use person-centered language and avoid assumptions about disability, mental health, recovery, housing, capacity, identity or support needs.

2.4 Do not present Platform participation as treatment, guaranteed recovery, employment, certification, eligibility for benefits or a substitute for professional services.

3. Harassment, abuse and exploitation

3.1 You must not threaten, stalk, bully, intimidate, humiliate, sexually harass, coerce, blackmail or repeatedly contact another person after a clear request to stop.

3.2 You must not exploit a person’s disability, behavioral-health status, recovery history, housing situation, age, financial circumstances, dependence on services, limited digital literacy or relationship with a Support Organization.

3.3 You must not request money, gift cards, loans, financial credentials, intimate images, medication, controlled substances, housing access, labor or personal favors through deceptive, coercive or abusive conduct.

3.4 Grooming, trafficking, sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate content, threats of self-harm used to control another person and retaliation against a reporter are prohibited.

3.5 A Provider or Organization must not condition essential support, housing, treatment, benefits or services on a Participant’s Platform engagement unless a lawful program requirement is clearly disclosed and appropriate safeguards exist.

4. Discrimination and hateful conduct

4.1 You must not discriminate against, exclude, attack or dehumanize a person or group based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, health status, recovery status, veteran status or another protected characteristic.

4.2 Hate speech, slurs, calls for exclusion or violence, denial of dignity and content praising hate organizations are prohibited.

4.3 Activity eligibility criteria must be lawful, genuinely connected to the Activity and accurately disclosed. Accessibility limitations must not be invented to avoid reasonable inclusion.

5. Safety, emergencies and safeguarding

5.1 Do not use the Platform as an emergency, crisis or clinical reporting system. In an immediate emergency or danger, call 911 or the appropriate local emergency or safeguarding authority.

5.2 Do not encourage dangerous challenges, self-harm, suicide, violence, illegal drug use, medication misuse or conduct likely to cause serious injury.

5.3 Providers must not suppress, conceal or retaliate against good-faith safety reports. They must follow applicable incident-reporting, mandated-reporting, child-safety, vulnerable-adult and emergency obligations.

5.4 Do not falsely claim that an Activity has medical supervision, trained staff, background checks, licenses, insurance, accessibility or emergency resources.

5.5 Weapons, controlled substances, alcohol, transportation and high-risk activities must be handled lawfully and disclosed accurately. Organize4Change may prohibit categories of Activity even if locally lawful where risk is incompatible with the Platform.

6. Privacy, confidentiality and sensitive information

6.1 You must not disclose another person’s email address, address, telephone number, government identifier, financial information, diagnosis, medication, treatment, disability, recovery history, support status, sexual orientation, housing information or other private or sensitive data without lawful authority and a necessary purpose.

6.2 Public profiles, timeline posts, discussions, comments, reviews and uploaded media may be visible to the public. Do not place private or sensitive information in those areas, and do not assume that deleting Content will remove every copy made by others.

6.3 Do not post photographs, audio or video of another person without appropriate permission, especially in group homes, recovery settings, support programs or youth Activities.

6.4 Organizations must use role-based access, remove former personnel, avoid shared Accounts and limit information to what each authorized person needs.

6.5 The Platform is not a clinical record system. Do not upload treatment notes, medical records, psychotherapy notes, substance-use treatment records or protected health information unless Organize4Change has expressly approved a compliant written arrangement.

6.6 Do not use information obtained through the Platform for unrelated surveillance, employment screening, insurance, credit, housing, law-enforcement profiling, political targeting or discriminatory decisions.

7. Truthful identities, listings and communications

7.1 Do not impersonate a person or Organization, misstate authority, create a fake Account, conceal a commercial identity, or falsely claim nonprofit, licensed, accredited, insured, verified or endorsed status.

7.2 Activity listings must accurately describe the provider, purpose, location, schedule, eligibility, accessibility, costs, supervision, risks, registration steps and material changes.

7.3 Do not fabricate attendance, reviews, endorsements, impact results, volunteer hours, credentials, certifications, outcomes or community support.

7.4 Do not use deceptive headlines, hidden conditions, bait-and-switch listings or false urgency to obtain registrations, donations or personal information.

7.5 Organize4Change’s approval to publish is not a certification or endorsement and may not be described as one.

8. Prohibited commercial and financial conduct

8.1 The Platform must not be used for unapproved sales, recruitment schemes, multilevel marketing, payday lending, gambling, fraudulent fundraising, investment solicitation, cryptocurrency schemes or other high-risk financial promotion.

8.2 Do not request or exchange payment-card details, bank credentials, passwords, gift cards or cash through community messages or Content.

8.3 Do not divert Participants to undisclosed paid services, require off-platform payments not clearly described in an approved Activity, or exploit an Organization’s relationship with Participants for personal gain.

8.4 Any legitimate cost, donation or fee connected with an Activity must be transparent, lawful and administered by the responsible Provider through an appropriate payment method. Organize4Change is not a party to third-party payments unless expressly stated.

9. Spam, solicitation and communications abuse

9.1 Do not send unsolicited bulk messages, repetitive promotions, chain messages, phishing, malware, scams or communications that violate marketing, telemarketing or anti-spam laws.

9.2 Do not scrape or harvest contact details, add people to marketing lists without permission, or use Participant information for unrelated recruitment or advertising.

9.3 Do not automate messages, registrations, invitations, reviews, clicks or reports in a deceptive or disruptive manner.

9.4 Respect opt-outs, blocks, privacy settings and reasonable requests to stop contact.

10. Illegal, harmful and restricted content

10.1 Do not submit Content that is illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, threatening, obscene, exploitative, malicious or that unlawfully incites violence or criminal activity.

10.2 Content involving child sexual abuse, non-consensual intimate imagery, trafficking, terrorism, unlawful weapons, illegal controlled substances or credible threats is prohibited and may be reported to authorities.

10.3 Do not facilitate fraud, identity theft, sanctions evasion, money laundering, illegal gambling or prohibited transactions.

10.4 Do not publish instructions primarily designed to bypass safety controls, exploit vulnerable users or cause unlawful access, injury or damage.

11. Intellectual property and rights of others

11.1 You must own or have permission to use all names, logos, photographs, videos, music, documents, descriptions and other Content you submit.

11.2 Do not infringe copyright, trademark, trade-secret, publicity, privacy, confidentiality or contractual rights.

11.3 Do not remove ownership notices, falsely claim authorship, submit fraudulent copyright complaints or repeatedly repost material removed for infringement.

11.4 Copyright concerns may be reported under the DMCA procedure in the Terms of Service.

12. Security and technical abuse

12.1 Do not introduce malware, ransomware, spyware, destructive code or files intended to compromise a device, user, Account or system.

12.2 Do not gain or attempt unauthorized access to Accounts, Organization rosters, messages, listings, infrastructure, APIs, administrative tools, credentials or data.

12.3 Do not probe, scan, benchmark or test security without prior written authorization and an agreed scope.

12.4 Do not interfere with availability or performance through denial-of-service activity, request flooding, abusive automation, excessive scraping, deliberate error generation or resource exhaustion.

12.5 Do not bypass payment controls, privacy choices, access restrictions, moderation actions, plan limits or technical protections.

12.6 Report a suspected vulnerability privately to support@organize4change.com and do not publicly disclose or exploit it before reasonable remediation.

13. Account, Content and Platform misuse

13.1 Do not sell, rent, transfer or share Accounts; create Accounts for people without authority; maintain access after your role ends; or use another person’s identity or credentials.

13.2 Do not use multiple Accounts to evade suspension, plan limits, payment obligations, reporting restrictions or moderation decisions.

13.3 Do not scrape, crawl, mirror, archive, reverse engineer or commercially exploit the Platform outside ordinary browser use or an authorized interface.

13.4 Do not use Platform Content or personal information to train a facial-recognition, behavioral-profiling, clinical, employment, insurance, credit or other high-risk decision system without lawful authority and Organize4Change’s written permission.

14. Reporting concerns

14.1 Report suspected Policy violations, unsafe Activity information, impersonation, exploitation, harassment, privacy concerns or security issues to support@organize4change.com.

14.2 A useful report identifies the relevant Account, Organization, Activity, message or URL; describes what happened; provides dates and available evidence; and explains any urgent safety concern.

14.3 Do not include unnecessary medical records, intimate content, passwords or financial credentials. Preserve original evidence where safe and lawful.

14.4 Knowingly false, retaliatory, discriminatory or abusive reports may themselves violate this Policy.

14.5 For an immediate emergency, contact 911 or the appropriate local authority rather than waiting for a Platform response.

15. Investigation and enforcement

15.1 We may review reports, Content, Account records and relevant technical information; request additional information; preserve evidence; restrict visibility; remove Content; limit communications; suspend access; revoke publishing privileges; or terminate an Account or Organization.

15.2 We aim to use proportionate measures. Where a problem can reasonably be corrected and urgent action is unnecessary, we may provide notice and an opportunity to cure.

15.3 We may act without prior notice where reasonably necessary for immediate safety, exploitation, unlawful Content, fraud, security, evidence preservation, legal compliance or repeated violations.

15.4 We may notify an Organization administrator, affected user, Provider, service provider, insurer, regulator, safeguarding body or law-enforcement authority where permitted or required.

15.5 We do not promise to investigate every report, monitor every communication or prevent every harmful act. A report does not guarantee removal, suspension or a particular outcome.

15.6 A user may request review by contacting support. We may maintain restrictions during review where necessary to protect users or the Platform.

16. Changes and contact

16.1 We may update this Policy for legal, safety, security, operational or product reasons. Material changes will be notified or presented for renewed acceptance where appropriate.
